When we talk of scars, what do we mean by scars? Metaphorically, scars are the Mark of strides which serve as recoveries, which Freedom Giants have on them, as a symbol of their feat and Survival into Freedom. Freedom Giants are Leaders and every Leader has had a scar in his life. Freedom Giants are champions who have Survived and not just survived, but Survived trailblazingly. We must never be shy of our scars. Scars call for celebrations. Our scars are memories. Freedom Giants, we must never forget about our scars.

There are two kind of scars. We have the Rehabilitation scars and the Dissoution scars. Rehabilitation scars are the scars people incur as a result of their sacrifice, to bring reformation of Democratic Freedom to the people. Dissolution scars are the punishments people incur as a result of their horrendous attempt to dissolute regimes worthy of emulation, who are fighting for Freedom. Dissolution scars bring pain and unending trauma until such people have a change of mind. All kinds of Scars can be either visible or invisible scars. Visible scars are obviously the scars that are seen on the Anatomy of Humans. Of course some of these scars could be punishments to people who committed some adverse acts like robbery, and they were beaten and lynched by others. Those are also dissolution scars. Because they attempted to corrupt phenomenal strifes. There are also invisible scars where people have been jailed for their wrongdoing and that left a footprint of scar on their hearts. We must be able to differentiate from these scars. As Freedom Giants, we move with Rehabilitation scars both visible and invisible.

The African Anatomy has been characterized with Rehabilitation scars that we must never relent to celebrate. Our scars of colonial rule is what has given us the stand to celebrate independence struggles annually in our National Anatomies. At all times, we must be Relentless in our quest to celebrate our Scars. This is because, we won. All Genuine Freedom Giants are winners.

Nelson Mandela had a Rehabilitation scar. He was imprisoned for 27 years for seeking to end apartheid rule in the African Anatomy. That left a scar on him during his time of imprisonment and after being released. Though the scars the imprisonment left on him weren’t visible by all to see, it left an imprint in him, which he celebrates even in his grave. That was an imprint of recovery and he was proud of this imprint. The ability for us to celebrate our scars, shows we are Relentless. It shows we are conquerors. We must never allow anyone to belittle our competence. Global Women, don’t shed any tears on your scars. They are marks of Rejuvenation!!! You are Winners!!! The fact that other people gave in to mediocrity or gave up, stopped their course, or died in the course of their journey does not mean you will do same. You are Freedom Giants and you will never succumb to mediocrity, end your course or die! Scars are a confirmation that you won. They are a reminder of how life tried to stretch you, but how you stood Relentless. As Freedom Giants, we have to be proud of our scars. We have to admire our scars. They are what make us.

Scars make us pursue the real purpose. When we remember the scars, it serves as a reminder for us to never linger, but to pursue our assignments. They serve as reminders. Scars remind us to stand tall. When we remember the perilous times we have been through, we dare not decide to live anyhow. No! We guard our feats. President Biden of USA in the Global Anatomy had a dream of becoming a President of the American Anatomy, one day. However, he had his whole family dying through a car accident, but he never gave in. He was Relentless.

We must stand strong at all times. We must never forget our scars. They do not break us, but they challenge us to do more. We must at all times be Relentless and be strengthened to move forward. Our scars are our religion. They are our fortitude. We must never forget them. We must write books about it. Scars push us to continue. Sometimes even in the process of standing tall, there may be various injuries you may incur. These are injuries of humiliation, rejection, betrayal, envy and abuse. But as Freedom Giants, we do not succumb to that. We survive and we just don’t survive but we survive Trailblazingly. Now the scars (memories) we see from these must always remind us, to do more. Scars are a reminder that we fought back. We must always look back and remember our scars. They are a reminder that we Relentlessly fought back. They are celebrations to us. We must stand strong about this.

Scars should provoke us to do more. Scars push us to do more. Scars provoke us to do more. Whenever we remember the healing, we must be provoked to fight for those who are going through such droughts. We must stand tall.

Let us remain Relentless. Our Scars are a plus to us. Let us keep on Revolutionizing the Global Anatomy. Let us keep on transforming the Global Anatomy. Let us make it happen.

Kindly note: The Council of Generals together with all Freedom Giants of AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL forbid tribal marks. My Lecture today does not in anyway condone Tribal Marks. Those are also dissolute Marks and abusive.

Author: Freedom Legend Job Richard Matua (Date: 30th May, 2023)A Lecture by Freedom Giant Matua Job Richard🇺🇬, a Politician belonging to the ruling party of National Resistance Movement (NRM) ; an Aspirant for National Vice Chairperson Central Executive Committee (CEC) , a top decision/policy making organ of the ruling party. @job_matua , jobrichard@gmail.com +256704023756 .

Preamble :
Key questions.

Is leadership necessary in human society?

How can can leaders of civilized societies emerge?

Key Definitions;
A. Democracy
This is a system of government by the whole population , typically done through elected Representatives.

Former US President Abraham Lincoln defined Democracy as a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
Meaning Abraham Lincoln understood Democracy to embrace;

Legal,

Social relations between humans as well as

Political systems.

Therefore, Democracy entails certain things including but NOT limited to;
a) Participation of the people to choose their Representatives/Leaders( which is truly the main essence of democracy),
b) Respect for the will of the majoritybut not excluding the minority,
c) The Independence of the Institution ,
d) The Rule of Law .

B. Leadership .
This is the action of leading the people, a group or an Organization or a Nation.

Leadership is daunting task that requires CONCENSUS, ACCEPTABILITY , AND ULTIMATELY THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE ( majority voice).

If the above requirements are to be achieved, then Leaders must emerge from democratic processes involving the full participation of the people in choosing their Representatives or Leaders.

In pre-conclusion, the global anatomy of the modern day societies require democratic processes to elect leaders.
Promoting democratic leadership in the global anatomy is therefore, a necessity but not just a choice.

Attaining totally democratic society is NOT just a journey into Picnic. It is a very serious thing requiring ultimate sacrifices.
For the case of Kenya, it took imprisonment of Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga for a very long period, the riot of 2007 and nullification of results by Supreme Court in 2017 to reach where the Country is now.
Yes the Kenyan Democracy is not yet perfect but it is better than that of my Country Uganda.

Democracy itself is experiment which is not perfect but continuously evolving. Actually US has Democracy of over 230 years still has issues of deep divisions along racial lines to address.

That minority wanting Democracy in an Autocratic system must then use Institutions like the Judiciary & Legislature to make laws to take democratic path. This is what happened in Kenya over the years from Independence to reach where Kenya is now. The same thing happened in United States of America.

In conclusion, the struggle continues and Freedom Giants particularly the elites and youths must remain relentless in pursuing Democracy in the Global Anatomy.

PROMOTING DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP
This is a deliberate and purposely done action to ensure & encourage the attainment of the ultimate will of the people in Leadership in the global anatomy.

It is deliberate because negative forces in human society always encourage dictatorship/autocracy emanating from families whereby men/husbands exercise dictatorship over other family members like Children and wives.
This is worst in Africa whereby dictatorship has been part of our culture. It even gets worse in Societies with monarchies where election are actually very alien to such societies.

The troubles African Countries are going through in-terms of growth of our democracies originate from our cultures which entrenched dictatorship and we find ourselves being held back by these cultural mindsets.

How can we break through ?
We must emphasize Independence of Institutions of Govt.
The following Institutions are very important in promoting Democracy in any Nation.

The Judiciary ,

The Legislature ,

The Electoral Commission ,

The Executive ,

The Army/Police/Security agencies.

Without well functioning of the above Institutions in an independent manner, Democracy will always be a very huge task to reflect the WILL OF THE PEOPLE. Next is the details on the significance of each Institutions of govt in promoting DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP. Let us first digest post 1 & 2. As we all reflect on these Institutions taking into account how they function in your own Countries and in the region or the World. Ghana’s pathway in Democracy is something worth studying. Infact Inter party Cooperation in Uganda is a template from Ghana Including many Laws.

THE JUDICIARY AND ITS ROLE IN PROMOTING DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP IN THE GLOBAL ANATOMY .
The major pillar of democratic society is a functioning democracy is the Judiciary
All functioning democracies world over have majorly succeeded because of having independent judiciary.

The Courts play Important roles in;

Influencing laws and policies;

Restraining undemocratic characters by taming their excesses in democratic processes,

Legislating on the bench through interpretation of Laws that are contradictory, and through Court rulings which actually become Laws because they form the List of Authorities for future references.

Maintaining the faith and trust of the people in elections by determining any election petition.

It is the Judiciary that also deals with criminal matters creating law and order and by a larger extension promoting the rule of law. Judiciary is therefore, centrally located in the good health and wealth of Democracy in any Country. Infact it is a core determinant of whether democracies can grow or NOT. This means that Judges must exercise fairness and independence to dispense justice in the most fair and transparent manners. Kenya’s Judiciary for example has been very instrumental in Enhancing jurisprudence and ultimately democratic growth. The iconic former Chief Justice Kanani Maraga led Supreme Court that nullified the impugned Chebukati Wafula ( Chair of IEBC), Presidential election results of first election 2017. That action plus Maina Keai ruling drastically changed the democratic processes in Kenya. When you compare Kenya’s Democracy with that of my Country Uganda, you will realize that Uganda’s judiciary still lacks the Courage to nullify impugned election results. In both 2001 & 2006, the entire Bench of the Supreme Court in Uganda agreed with the Petitioner Dr Kizza Besigye Kifefe that there were serious irregularities committed by electoral Commission & security Agencies but reluctantly refused to nullify the results reasoning that the irregularities were not enough to affect the results in substantial manner. { This where the question of whether our Institutions can really be independent comes in).
I can say that independence of any Institution is NOT guaranteed by the Institution itself but by the Officers incharge of those Institutions and the people who are able to exercise checks and balances.

Justice Kenani Maraga of Kenya nullified the results but is now being praised than being vilified yet Justice Benjamin Odoki of Uganda whose position actuator shifted the balance of power in favour of President Yoweri Museveni in petitions of both 2001 and 2006 . This means Justice Benjamin Odoki’s own fears have failed the supreme Court decisions of Uganda. The sum total of the effect is that people in Uganda have less faith in the Supreme Court concerning Presidential Election Petitions than it is in Kenya. Courts in India have really shaped Democracy not only in India but also across the World.
The same thing applies to Courts in UK .

I want to emphasize that it is the duty of every Citizen to promote democratic leadership in his or her own Country. That is why Freedom Giants must be Relentless in pursuing the democratic leadership in the Global Anatomy. World over, Democracies continue to have problems and therefore, must be cared for. Democracy is too delicate to leave to whom it may concern . Fidelity to the Constitution requires serious care to prevent it from being abused. There is still a challenge with the Appointment of Judges in the Global Anatomy. This is happening everywhere Including in United States of America whereby a Republican President nominate Conservative Judges while Democratic Party led President tend to nominate Liberal Judges.

Whereas in most Countries there exists Judicial Service Commissions, there are major questions about the Independence of the Judges because Presidents or Executive Prime Ministers are still being involved in issuing Instruments of Appointment of Judges.

THE LEGISLATURE AND ITS ROLE IN PROMOTING DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP IN THE GLOBAL ANATOMY .

Preamble .
All Countries using Common Wealth Practices have almost similar duties of the Legislative Arm of the Govt.

This is the most powerful arm of Govt that has powers to make laws on any matter concerning affairs of sovereign Country. Legislature has sweeping power exclusively allocated to Members of Parliament/Senate in a democratic society to make laws on any matter.

Constitutionally, most Parliaments have the following duties:

Make laws ie Legislate.

Play oversight role

Appropriate National budget

And represent their Constituencies.

Parliament is very important in promoting democratic leadership in the global anatomy given its powers to make laws. With a very strong Legislature and Judiciary, Democracy is totally guaranteed in a Country. But when Parliament is exclusively controlled by the Executive, then democracy suffers most. This is what happens in Countries like Tanzania, South Sudan, Rwanda, Zimbabwe etc where Parliament is actually controlled by the Executive Arm of the Government. I must emphasize that separation of power provided for in most Constitutions doesn’t mean complete independence of arms of Govt but rather encourages checks and balances especially when one arm wants to run astray. Independence of an arm of Govt is therefore, something that is purely guaranteed by the Individuals holding such Offices. In Countries with Parliamentary System like South Africa, Parliament has been very critical in promoting DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP. The significance of this is that MPs can even remove a President by a vote of no confidence alone. We have this play in UK with both Theresa May & Boris Johnson been removed by Parliament. (NB; Boris Johnson resigned due to pressure causes by MPs.

Parliament is critical in curtailing Presidents with dictatorial tendencies. Here MPs can impeach a President. This happened in USA whereby President Donald Trump was successfully impeached only survive in Senate. The surest & easiest way of promoting Democracy is by electing rightful members of Parliament & Senate. In an effort to promote democratic leadership in the global anatomy, we Freedom Giants must take greater interest in the positions for MPs & Senators. ANC of South Africa and CCM of Tanzania have both held the grips on power by ensuring that they have majority numbers for MPs. Unfortunately, this majority number of MPs has been abused to pass funny laws in some cases.

In certain extreme cases like the one we had in Gambia of extreme totalitarian President like Yahya Jammeh, having many Opposition people in Parliament can ensure survival of Democracy though a seriously limping one. My conclusion is that Parliament is the second most important Institution that should be used in promoting DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP.

: THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION .
It is should be noted that the main essence of democracy is people choosing their Representatives/Leaders through elections.

Electoral Commissions organize elections and therefore, must be truly independent and credibly resourced. The filling of Electoral Commissions with people having credibility questions is very dangerous and can trigger real Political crisis. The cause of nullification of election result in 2017 in Kenya was as a result of transgressions occasioned by the Chairman Wafula Chebukati of the IEBC . We wait to see the outcome of 2022 Presidential Petition to understand whether he (Mr Chebukati Wafula) changed or not.

Elections organized by electoral Commission should be fair , transparent , free credible and verifiable. This can only happen if individuals mandated to organize elections truly exercise great sense judgement and act with ultimate FIDELITY to the laws and patriotic spirit. When elections are bungled, the will of the people is not reflected and people lose trust in the processes and this when done over time leads to voter apathy. It is very important to note that young people are gradually pulling away from exercise their Constitutional rights to vote. This is a very dangerous trend we Freedom Giants must strive to correct in our drive to promote democratic leadership in the Global Anatomy.

NOTE.
Elections will never be perfect anywhere Including in grown Democracies. We all saw an Incumbent President rejecting results of an Election in United States of America.

THE ROLE OF SECURITY FORCES IN PROMOTING DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP IN THE GLOBAL ANATOMY.
The Army, the Police and other sister security forces/agencies are important in promoting Democracy. In all the Countries where Democracy is stable, the security forces do not take open sides with any particular political party.
But where the security forces take sides, Democracy in such situation becomes a sham because freedom of expression and association are usually curtailed in such situation.
We see this in Rwanda whereby Opposition political parties actually don’t campaign freely and always face trumped up charges like the one Valerie is facing. In clarity, security forces must be neutral and pay allegiance to the Country but not an individual. In Uganda, security forces are being accused by Opposition elements of siding with the ruling party that is always being fiercely denied by both ruling party and the security forces. Democratic leadership therefore, needs a neutral Security just like a neutral Electoral Commission.

ORGANIC GROWTH OF DEMOCRACY.
Every society and every Country has unique social, economic and political challenges usually dictated by:

a) Social disposition
b) Class struggles.

In Africa, our Societies are structured along tribes/ethnicities and religious lines while in Western Countries like USA, their Societies are structured along racial & economic classes. Democracy therefore, must NOT be one size fits all affair. Every Country should actually have its own form/appearance of Democracy but maintaining the essence/substance of people choosing their leaders. This is the hardest rock in any conversation about Democracy because people expect American liberal democracy to be copied & pasted in say South Sudan. Infact most African democracies are not doing well as a result of attempting to mimic western democracies. Africa must have her own organic growth and development of Democracy.

India and China are both Democracies of more like similar appearances but China has been vilified by Western Countries for not being liberal democracy yet socio-political realities in China are totally different from those in USA or UK. Political Scientists and everyone interested in politics should understand that Democracy needs to evolve organically. We must stop this idea of copy and paste in Democracy. For example, World bank, IMF and Western donors forced Uganda into multiparty democracy that had failed in 1960s without due considerations for socio-political realities. I can confirm that my Country is getting more divided and tribal undertones are riding faster than when we were under Movement System of Governance whereby leaders were chosen basing on individual merits than political parties. Uganda’s social disposition along religion and tribe/ethnic group and regions doesn’t over fertile ground for such highly divisive multiparty democracy. Indeed there are so many challenges facing the multiparty democracy in Uganda.

In a nutshell, Democracy must be seen in essence/substance/content but not appearance/form. What is important in Democracy is people choosing their Representatives/Leaders in a free, fair, transparent, verifiable and accountable elections. Being multiparty or not should not be a yard stick to measure Democracy. D.R Congo has over 200 political parties. Should we say it is the best Democracy in the world? The answer is a big no.

I therefore would like to very sincerely thank Global Freedom Board and AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL . I end by saying Freedom in Africa is our motto.

May God Bless You Always.

LECTURE BY FREEDOM GIANT ATISH BAGOLAH

Our voices are what makes the connection to our mind and souls. We are in some way the sound of life. African Voices International is taking relationship beyond boundaries, not just territories but beyond the limits of normal behavior. As human beings, we have our map of the world. We basically live in two worlds: The world outside our skin and the world inside our skin. Our cognitive minds have adopted our experiences and pushed us to become the person we are today. We are not bad or good or better. We are but the product of our lifetime experiences. We are what makes our map of the world.

Yet very often we forget that our relationship with the world starts with our relationship with ourselves. How do I view myself? On what regards do I deserve to see the world? Who made me have an overview of the world I live in? At the very outset, we are social animals. Yes, we form part of animal kingdom but we are impregnated with an intelligence both basic and complex. We often forget that we are here on this planet only for a few years in the span of infinity. We spend countless hours and days and months and years pretending that everything is going well while our minds know that we are but a speck. We spend our most used and fragile state of mind called emotion to drive the elephant of our lives. Social relationship is a need that you and I have at the base of our existence. You cannot support my effort and I cannot support your effort if the word social didn’t exist. You are what I am afterall. You will see in me what is there in you afterall. I am but your reflection indeed.

As above, so below. Our need to get together is social. Our only way to bind our objectives as human beings is through relationships. Every person I meet, you meet, we meet are meant to be met. We are but the dots we connect. Let us together and forever remind ourselves that we are here to stay for a while and we are meant for bigger and better purpose than just following or leading. Make yourself be that kind of social human in whom the generations to come will perceive in the divine books or clouds.

Let us be Relentless in our pursuit for a better world, a better African world . Africa is the cradle of humanity. It is not just me saying this but it is proven in deep archaeological evidence. Humanity began in Africa. Yes, our primary ancestors are African. I am Africa. My genes emanate from Africa. I will protect my land from evil and ignite our need to stop fragilising and becoming magnetic. We have to develop a relationship, a binding, a bond and a glue of strength. Hello my brothers and sisters Freedom Giants, what are you waiting for to turn yourself inward and speak to yourself by saying, “I am a Freedom Giant.” “I can take care of my emotions, my relationship, my sacredness, my sanctity.” “That in me is a true and authentic person ready to talk about relationships.” It takes gut to go out and scream at the top of the mountain that you are a social and spiritual being. My fellow Freedom Giants, I now close by thanking the Global Freedom Board of AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL For the opportunity.

Before I proceed, I want to congratulate our Kenyan friends on the outcome of their elections by far. I also pray and hope that the anatomy of Kenya going forward in the democratic battle will be relentless in keeping the peace. I also want to wish our Angolan brothers in their upcoming election that holds two days from today; thus 24th August, 2022 if I am right. Let us share the message of peace and freedom in that Anatomy whilst we relentlessly work in the remits of the constitution.

There are two keywords on the aforementioned topic for today. 1. Democracy and 2. Governance. Now, Democracy has been a word I believe we have been privy too from our primal stage to now. It is a system where majority rules and the right of the minority are respected. Popular among the definitions we come by is from Abraham Lincoln’s; Government of the people, by the people and for the people. It is in short seen as the rule by the people as a form of Governance. On the other hand is seen as structures and processes designed to ensure accountability, responsiveness, inclusiveness, empowerment and broad-base participation (IBE, UNESCO). Prior to the advent of the West on our Continent our system of government has been monarchical to a large extent. Where power lies in the hand of kings, queens and chiefs with heir apparent to the thrones transiting to wield power. Howbeit, the story changed along the way in the 20th century where we become democratic states with different means to wielding power.

DEVELOPMENT

Development is seen as an event constituting a new stage in a changing situation. Change in this regard can either be positive or negative. However, development has been aligned with positivity over the centuries so I intend to ply in that direction. Africa has been on its own over centuries now and we have seen a lot of people that seeks our mandate to assume power with succulent promises of development. And in the alternating of powers, we have seen the state of the continent ever since we endorsed the very beautiful democracy that we have today. Indeed, many has gone down in history as leaders that cast their names in the very depth of our hearts in holding scripts whilst others left behind scars that refused to recuperate. Democracy is beautiful. It has worked for the West. Their development is enviable and we always use them as a yardstick to determine our situation. What has happened to our democracy and governance? Where did we get it wrong? How can the situation change for the best? At the moment, are we on track to achieve the development we want on the continent? So many of these rhetorical questions I believe lingers on the minds of my fellow African Legends as is mine.

In our part of the world, we give power to the people we want in power believing that we will rule through them. Howbeit, it becomes the irony as we see I’m most cases, serious subserviency with even the minority who democratically are the rulers relegated and few doing what they like at the top. If democracy was carved to bring development as we can attest to in other climes of the world, then let us see what worldview DEVELOPMENT has and with that spectacle probe our Continent to see if the we have also engineered the same outcome through our democratic system of government’s. With the zeal to qualify what should be climaxed under development, a lot of modules were developed by great minds. All were carved to address what was amiss in their time to bring about a uniform development. Their modules to me can alluded to the allusion of the three blind men who were made to identify an elephant by touching it. The likes of John Rawlings sees development as a distributive justice where there is improving basic needs (goods and services), to be provided by government, access to public goods by all social classes. Amartya San one of my favourites holds share the same idea of Freedom with AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL where he believes that freedom is development. And this he extends to the political, economic space. He posited that development must be people centered where people are protected from abject poverty (socialist movement) and there is a collective ownership of means of production and as well freedom of opportunity. Karl Marx on the other hand is our Conflict man but in the right direction where he holds that development occurs when the HAVES also known as the bourgeoisies, are overtaken by the Have nots also known as the proletariats after succumbing to their economic milking for a long while.

We have bought into the indicators of what tells us we are developed like the 1. Human Development Index (HDI) 2. Gender Development Index (GDI) 3. Human Poverty Index (HPI) 4. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) amongst others. We are constantly speaking about Health, Education, Climate, welfare and what have you. All the above in our democracy but have we attained the development we want? If democratic governance entails the above and brings the above, do we have any? The African Continent has been brutalised by ourselves that we are nowhere close to any better development. We have relented in the fight and have given in to satisfying our parochial interest whenever we are at the helm of power. Instead of Development wearing the interest of the people, it is now wearing the pockets of leaders. Africa is blesses with all the natural resources you can think of. We always sing this but again, we are not even stable in the developing status we have earned. Let’s take a look at our sister Sierra Leone. The unrest there bids towards venting the economic frustration that is pushed down the throats of the ordinary citizens. Their demand to oust the president and the outcome is not new to us. The series of Ghana and of recent, THE ARISE DEMONSTRATION that sees citizens in venting their anger democratically against the spiralling inflation and other economic woes. It ended with clashes with the police leading to 29 arrests and other mild and severe injuries. Sri Lanka is not out of the economic quagmire. They lack fuel to the extent that there are restriction on who can buy it. Serious agitations took place until the president Kajapaksa have to resign and flee to Singapore. The country owes about billion dollars to foreign leaders including 6.5bn dollars from China. The prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is now borrowing 600m dollars from World Bank from India. Maybe that may ease the situation. Development is hardly felt anywhere on the continent my fellow Giants as we are all aware of and can see in the few examples above. We have the believe that when the continent is united, we can change our situation. Right from Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to Muammar Gaddafi trying to unite us failed. Now is the African Continental Free Trade Area. The secretary Mwenge was in Ghana recently and has given us hope as a continent that the reade commences soon. We only hope that it changes our fortune. All of these has inhibited our developmental. We have found ourselves in a continent where we practice Animal farm democracy; some people are more equal than others. The resources of the continent is not shared equally. Human life is at the mercy of leaders. I was privy to information in Somalia and Mali on the operation of Jihadist and all the nightmares that comes with them, Book Haram is still in Nigeria and life consistently lost as a result of these situations. The voice of the people they say is the voice of God yet, these voices has been ignored for far too long. We are practicing democracy but our results in power are more likeable to tyrrany than democracy. It is time we change the narrative. You know what, the most ingesting about the whole issue that whilst the youth rebel and later dins themselves in power, they become worst off than those they hooted in the past. I think a little step back will do at this juncture. We have taken this whole thing of Democracy, Governance and Development to the grand level that we have forgotten our part in it.

In our small a space of leadership, the individual Africans only think about themselves and both the greater good. They embezzle funds, get corrupt and use power to favour them. For the constitution, especially if they are partakers of drafting them, they make sure it fits their interest. An example is the indemnity clause section 34 in the Ghanaian 1992 constitution. We know what happened in Ivory Coast: the Laurent Gbagbo saga. The continent suffers, Superior dominance, Communication gap and embezzlement of fund. Whenever we mismanage an organisation because of bad leadership, we wreck the development of Africa. The onus lies on all of us especially we the Freedom Giants herein who are true Pan Africanists and are committed to doing our bid to change the narrative of our Continent. Is it not shameful that even the world was hit hard with Corona, we have to still depend on our counterparts in the dark depth for help? On the continent, we are bitterly complaining about the how much the Russia Ukraine war is costing us….in the name of what? heavy impartation. Last week, I checked the inflation rate of Ukraine it was 25%. Russia was 17%. But my country Ghana was 31.7% and the heartbreaking thing is, our leaders blame it on the Ruaaia-Ukraine war. But the people in war seems to be doing better than the observers of war. It is really heart aching. If we want to develop, then we have to go back to the table and check the governance system. The rule of law must be upheld to the highest bidder. Irrespective of who you are, the law must strike when it must. The law must safeguard the public purse. There must be a national agenda across the countries in the continent towards growth and development that the change in leadership can’t derail.

We must support government rather being on the edge and praying for their downfall so that they will fall for the opposition to take over. There is an adage that says that when two elephants fight, it is the ground that suffers. When this rancour continues, it is Africa that suffers. Our leaders must be ready to listen to the majority that vote for them and push them to power. Leadership is meant to transform for the best and not the worst. Separation of power must be at the peak to give checks and balances a way to promote Democratic management of state resources. Leaders must begin to allow for even distribution of the national cake and as well forge unity with opponents and put the continent and for that matter their countries first. We are at a crossroad and we need to assess our democratic governance and correct the anomalies towards achieving the development we want. In the bid to bring this lecture to a close, I urge all Giants to reassess themselves. We are the light and the salt of the continent (allusion to the Bible) we cannot fail ourselves. We do not need an army to commence the change we envisaged. You the one here with me is enough to pull the string of change towards the development we want in the continent.
Let us be Relentless in pushing harder. Let us be outright in every capacity we find ourselves as leaders. Let us be part of the national discourse of development. Let us never weary in the good work we are pushing across our part of the hemisphere. I believe in bits, change will come and on depth it shall be rooted that the world will hear Africa and say indeed we are the dust that forms life and we are unquenchable because we are Africans.

Thank you to all fellow Freedom Giants for joining in this lecture. I believe that we will all ho back holding the flag of Africa higher than we are already doing.

Thank you and God Bless Africa

As Freedom Giants, we have to be Relentless at all times. As Freedom Giants, we must all remain bold as Leaders and not be clueless about the purpose to which we as Freedom Giants, stand for! We must remain as One Anatomy and Revolutionize the Global Anatomy. We must never be envious about people who join in earlier and are given various positions. We must work for the consolidation of a One Africa, for the Emancipation of the Torn Africa.

We are a brand and if we want to keep on standing tall, then we must keep pushing forward. We must never back down. We must not be dull. We must be proactive at all times. We are Freedom Giants and not babies. People we expect to be trustworthy comrades or partners, will intentionally try all possible means, to bring us down. They will try all possible schemes to manipulate our theories. We have to be vigilant and Relentless. We have to stay true to what we believe in; fighting for the People. We must see to it that the rights of the people, are not relinquished but are protected.

We must ensure that Democratic Freedom prevails at all times. We must ensure that we stand tall for what we believe in. We must set the pace for what we believe in. At every time, we must remain Relentless. We must push forth. Barrack Obama once said, “We did not come here to fear the future, but to shape it” and that’s true. We are the Changemakers. Let’s fight for our rights and terraform the future.

THE ORGAN OF RELENTLESSNESS IN THE GLOBAL ANATOMY’S FREEDOM GIANTS

Freedom Giants, we are made of everything. We are made of Freedom. We are Freedom-personified. Why then do we have to be like others? We are the most unique, we could ever be, as Freedom Giants. We are the best we could ever be, and we can get better in this process. Let us stand tall.

The journey of life is a “trial,” for Freedom Giants. It is a trial because we live in a corrupt world, where the corrupted will never want to open their eyes to see Freedom Giants, thrive. But we are Freedom Giants! We remain Freedom Giants! We live as Freedom Giants! We walk as Freedom Giants and we shall die as Relentless Freedom Giants! We must remain Relentless about that. After surviving to where we are, do we just fall sick? No! We stand tremendously tall as Relentless Freedom Giants!

We have no time for accommodating mediocre oriented philosophies. That is not Democratic Freedom. Democratic Freedom seeks for the excellent welfare of all sundry both in the night and during the day. It is either we transform people with mediocre oriented philosophies, or we allow them rot. They may be of various positions but we must never incline to their philosophies. Our hearts must only be receptive to pushing Democratic Freedom forward. There are a lots of phenomenal people. We must stand tall as one and eradicate mental slavery from the hearts and minds, of the oppressed. We must have no time for those who want to see Freedom Giants, oppressed.

We must stand tall and not waste time, as Freedom Giants. We are more. We are beautiful. We are intelligent, and we are the best kind of people for any kind of developmental service in the world. The world is going to hire us, for and in billions of African currencies. Let us stand tall!

The road ahead is a big one. We must not fall into the treacherous and dilapidated “streets” created by mediocre leaders. We must walk our way; The way of Freedom. If we are Freedom Minded, we will promote Democratic and Political Freedom everywhere, we go. It will reflect and it will be symbolic. We must not in any way allow ourselves to be mocked at in any way to even say, it is for human gains.

We are highly spirited. Let us stand for the truth. Freedom is Security and if we must secure our walk of Freedom at all times, if we want to be rejuvenated. Let us Revolutionize the Global Anatomy. Let us transform the Global Anatomy. Let us make it happen.

Comrades will intentionally try to manipulate the systems. These are comrades, not oppositions but comrades. They will try to “shoulder” us around to keep the vision in “still.” As Freedom Giants we must be Relentless. Our “Comrade-oppositions” should be even be a factor why we should open the vision and keep on standing tall.’ Freedom Giant Kwindani once said, “Corrupt governors should never be allowed to participate in modern politics and thereafter holding a public office” and that’s true. We must be Relentless about seeing the right leaders in our offices.

As Freedom Giants, we have a big task ahead of us; to liberate the systems, to bring Freedom where people’s rights have been manipulated to eensure not only the prevalence of people’s rights, but to ensure the Dignity of the rights of people. We must stand tall at all times and see to it that the Global Anatomy is waxing forward, for Democratic and Political Freedom.

Let us stand tall and work with zeal. Let us lit the candles during night time and brainstorm towards the brighter day of Africa’s. Africa in the Next Decade must be one of Democratic and Political Freedom for all sundry and you must be counted amongst the Freedom Giants, worthy of fulfilling the vision. Do not be slow. Move forward. Accelerate. Move with passion and transform the Global Anatomy in transparency. Revolutionize the Global Anatomy. Change the Global Anatomy. We are Pacesetters. We are Revolutionists. We are Masterpieces. We are Pioneers. Let us make it happen, Freedom Giants.

The GLOBAL FREEDOM BOARD of AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL wish all Freedom Giants, a HAPPY FREEDOM AFRICA DAY. Our progress is in our hands and we must be concerned about Standing Tall as Freedom Giants to Transform the Global Anatomy. We have been relinquished of our rights in the past. We have seen our own brothers and sisters as our enemies. We have forbidden the expectancy to see a New Regionalised Africa, as the center for Africa’s Transformation. But AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL is here to tell all sundry to rise up as Freedom Giants and Stand Tall. We must Stand Tall for a Transformed Global Anatomy right from Africa.

We have what it takes. The seeds are in us. No matter how these seeds may be abused, harassed, covered, we shall soon rise up and rise up stronger as an Anatomy bound with no lines, but jointly visioned for a prosperous Africa. We must first of all protect ourselves from Imperialist States. We must have a joint Millitary command that does not Cooperate with Imperialist blocs. We must begin to Stand on our own.

We must be Proactive and work out for what we believe in; a prosperous Africa. The Berlin Conference of 1884 partitioned our own land into the hands of our colonial leaders. We were adopted and bought with currencies. In the course of this, our chiefs also accepted this. Yes, they did. If they did not, we would not have been enslaved. We were cut across and had our forefathers and mothers sold to Europe to help build their land. Today, the United States of America, The United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, France and all the Western Allies are who and what they are, because of the manipulation of Blacks. We are where we are because we were bought and exploited. But we cannot settle for less. We cannot settle here. No! The Africa we want is one we must dream of. We must stand tall for our rights.

It is time for our Governments to work as true Political Anatomies. Our Governments have become altruistic and Dictatorially autonomous. Dictators have led our Governments for long and this has kept our countries in a mess. We have Judiciaries, Executives and Legislatures in our Governments. Yet, our Presidents make decisions without the consultations of any of these arms of Governments. They enact laws on their own and fight to apprehend anyone who tries to fight against their corrupt leadership. Opposition Parties even become an enemy to our nation’s development. As Freedom Giants, we must fight for a Political Anatomy where there is interdependence and interrelation amongst ourselves for the continuous acceleration and ascendancy of our liberation.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah said in Accra in December 1958 at the Conference of African Freedom Fighters that, we must each see ourselves as part of Africa in order that we may face colonialist imperialism and its new form; colonialism on a continent wide front. That’s very true as our Godfather said. We must work as an African Anatomy to fight the debilitating threats by our Western Allies who wish to see Africans as a home of slaves.

We must fight against all forms of Social injustice in our societies. We have been relinquished of our rights. We must begin to fight against all forms of Discrimination and see ourselves as a single Anatomy for the Transformation of a United States of Africa. Yes, we must do this. We are One Anatomy. We must see our countries as National Anatomies which are interrelated and not see other tribes as superior to the other in our countries. We must build a progressive functioning of our societies where we all thrive on the equilibrium of Freedom. If we can build and see ourselves as National Anatomies, then we can build a true African Anatomy that is not bound on racial lines, but a vision where all Africans work together for a common good; a Prosperous Africa. Only our unity can make this happen.

Let us stand against all that tries to bring us apart and fight for the common goal of our people. Let us ensure that every person enjoys their Freedom. Our Women are one of the people who indeed change the systems. Let us not keep them in the kitchens. Let us fight for the liberation and education of every person. Every Human Being operates with a human Anatomy. No one is born a slave.

Let us ensure that as we celebrate The Freedom Africa Day, we enjoy and walk together as an Anatomy. Let us always assess ourselves and ensure that we are not being taken away from our path. Let us indeed walk as who we are; as Freedom Giants! We are Masterpieces, Changemakers, Radicalists, Gamechangers, Realists, Pacesetters, Revolutionists and Trailblazing Survivors. Let us Transform the Global Anatomy, now!

The Global Anatomy is changing. There is a new phase of change in an area of the Global Anatomy. New Legends are coming up. New innovations are springing forth. Emancipation is taking it’s head, there. Development is springing and Colonisation has been forgotten. Something new is happening and it is taking place in the African Anatomy. Africa is emerging into her original form; one of Freedom and Peace. This is the time for Africa, to take back what belongs to her; her original self. This is the time for Africa, to rise up!

Africans were misidentified. Africans were degraded. That enslavement was not us. The real Africa is at the top. It is time for us to rise to the top. We are not fighting with any body, but we have and must get to the top. We need our own Freedom! The quest to see Africa on top, is an Agenda that cannot be mishandled. Daily improvisations that lead to improvements in the economies, of our National Anatomies must be given enough applauds. We have to move forward now. There is no other time other than now. Whether you are in university, creche, middle school, or a retiree, the time for the Revolution is now! The time is Now! We must not look to any other or elsewhere.

Africa has got all the goods! Africa has all the talents, skills and resources for a shift in our Development Agenda. Africans are the Voice. We have the change, the Global Anatomy needs. Let us raise our voices. Yes, we can. Let us be the standard, the Global Anatomy needs. We can change the Global Anatomy by reflecting Excellence, in our societies, institutions, Governing Systems and everywhere. Africa has been mishandled. The African Anatomy needs to be revolutionized. Be the Gamechanger. We must not settle for less. We are far better. We can do more. We can live in excellence. Our children can be pampered. Our youths can be great intellectuals. Our adults can be great mentors. The aged can be Legends.

Something right must be done. Let us not settle for less. Africa is rising. Enough of the cynicism by corrupt leaders. Let us not rely on anything outside Freedom. Let us only settle and live in Freedom. All Giants of Freedom are associated with hardwork, focus and courage. Let’s be radical and bear good fruits in our versatile approach towards a genuine Freedom. It all lies down to us. When Westerners cannot contain Africa anymore, they’ll leave. Martin Luther King said “our lives begin to end, when we become silent about the things that matter.” That’s very true.

AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL entreats all Africans to raise their voices, about things that matter. Of course, if things must be done, they must be done in the right way. And we must not be silent!! Let us revolutionize the African Anatomy. Let us transform the Global Anatomy. Let us not settle for less. Let us make it happen. Let us raise our Voices.
