PRESIDENT MAHAMA REQUESTS FOR USA SECURITY SUPPORT

President Mahama at the Munich Security Conference, a global conference that dialogues on international security issues, has emphasised on the promotion of Ghana’s Security as he spoke with the Commander of the United States Africa Command; General Langley, where they all touched on regional threats and the need for collaborations towards promoting security.

President Mahama in the dialogue spoke on the United States assisting Africa to combat terrorism and other related security threats in the region. These are a few excerpts from his dialogue – “Today’s meeting with General Langley underscores Ghana’s dedication to bolstering our security capabilities in the face of emerging threats across the region. We value the support from the United States and are eager to expand our collaborative efforts”

President Mahama also spoke on collaborative maritime patrols with the Ghana Armed Forces towards safeguarding Ghana’s coastal environs and further preventing the environs from piracy.
