The CEO of Access Holdings; Herbert Wigwe, from The Nigerian Anatomy has passed away in a helicopter accident. He passed away on February 9th, 2024 together with his wife and son.
Herbert Wigwe who was a Philanthropist and an Entrepreneur was admired by many and his departure has brought many tears not only to Nigerians, but to the African Anatomy as a whole. Herbert Wigwe contributed a lot to his RiverState and to his continent. He was also the founder of Wigwe University, Isiokpo at Riverstate in Nigeria.
They had a plane crash in California at America as the helicopter crashed near the Nevada Border. Aside Herbert Wigwe and his family, Abimbola Ogunbajo; Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc and two other Chairmen were also with them in the helicopter and also passed away.
These were a few words of Herbert Wigwe days before his passing – “Today and always, let us remember that life is a precious gift – a chance to breathe, feel, love, experience and connect. Let’s honor this gift by living with purpose, kindness, and gratitude, making every moment count. Let us number our days.”
