Gen. Brice Oligui Nguema has risen amongst the new batch of Military Leaders whose coups have rather been appreciated by the African Anatomy. He Stands Tall as the next Man of change ready to liberate the Gabonese Anatomy after 54 years combined rulership of combined dictatorial rulership by the Bongo family with President ruling for four decades from 1967 to 2009 and his son President Bongo ruling for fourteen years from 2009 to 2023.
Gen. Oligui Nguema when he was very young joined Meknes Royal Military Academy, a Military Institution in Morocco, following his passion of being a Military Commander in the future. He then afterwards joined the Republican Guard Unit in Gabon. Over there, he became the assistant to Ex-President Omar Bongo who was President Ali Bongo who was just ousted’s father. He was an assistant to Mr. Omar Bongo toll his death in 2000.
However President Ali Bongo when he took over Presidency as Head of The Gabonese Anatomy from 2009 sacked Gen. Nguema and Gen. Nguema spent about a decade outside Gabon. He however bounced back in 2018 and was now the Republican Guards Intelligence chief which was until then the position of Mr. Ali Bongo’s step brother. Gen. Oligui Nguema after spending 6 months as the chief was promoted to the Head of The Republican Guards
He brought in so many reforms like the CLEAN HANDS OPERATION which was to fight against corruption and bribery amongst state officials in the country.
However President Ali Bongo was poised to continue his Presidency of which he won the 2023 August Elections. This did not go well with Gen. Nguema who decided to raise a mutiny and fight back for Democratic rule of which he ousted President Ali Bongo on 30th August 2023 and now stands as the Transitional President of The Gabonese Anatomy.
