PRESIDENT MAHAMA APPOINTS EMEAFA HARDCASTLE AS PETROLEUM COMMISSION CEO

President Mahama has appointed Victoria Emeafa Hardcastle as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission. The Petroleum Commission makes decisions on the regulations and the effective use of Petroleum resources in Ghana

Emeafa Hardcastle’s appointment was issued by the Executive Secretary to President Mahama; Dr. Callistus Mahama. Some agencies under the Petroleum Commission include Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company (GCMC), Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC).

Emeafa has much experience in the field of energy, corporate and commercial law, investment, banking, and finance. Her appointment, as advised by the Commission’s board in consultation with the public services Commission, is ecpecter to reform the petroleum sector of Ghana.
