The rise of Captain Ibrahim Traoré has been seen as a surprise for a couple of Western factions, but this is a hero’s season for us here in Africa, who see a new dawn of Democratic revolution for the new awakening we want for the African Anatomy. Captain Traoré’s ascension to power in September 2022 through the unusual by ousting Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba looked just like another one in the series of military actions done for self-aggrandizement and self-interests taken in Africa. However, this stride by Captain Ibrahim Traoré together with likes like Captain Mamady Doumbouya of the Guinean Anatomy, Captain Tchiani of the Nigerien Anatomy, Captain Assimi Goita of the Malian Anatomy and Captain Brice Oligui Nguema of the Gabonese Anatomy, have all within these past few years and months shown signs worth recommendable for the Africa, we want.

Burkina Faso has been struck by terrorism over the years which has undermined the country’s stability and development making Burkina Faso, a country of international concern. However, in a jiffy, the country has now become the beacon of hope to Africa and not only Africa, but countries all over the world that identify themselves with the course for liberation and self-empowerment.

Captain Traoré who was born on March 14th 1988 in Bondokuy had a dream. He had a purpose for Africa. He had an underlying purpose to transform the country of Burkina Faso and bring and awaken back hopes of a new Africa, back to the people. He joined the Burkinabe military in 2009 and distinguished himself through his service in the MINUSMA peacekeeping mission in Mali and in his massive involvement in counter operations against terrorist groups like Burkina Faso. In 2018, Captain Traoré was seen and revered as one of the most efficable MINUSMA soldiers. His experience in Morocco in the anti-air craft training programme and in the Mali War all revealed to him the challenges associated with poor leadership, terrorism and authoritarianism which he was seeing in his country.

He was part of the army officers that supported the coup d’etat that took place in January 2022 ousting Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba which brought the Patriotic Movement for Safeguard and Restoration military junta as the new leaders of the scene. According to Captain Ibrahim Traoré, he was trying his possible best to get Paul-Henri Sandaogo focused to work primarily on safeguarding the nation against terrorist forces but Paul Damiba still had lost focus and the best he had to do in the interest of the nation was to oust him. On 30th September, Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba was ousted and Captain Ibrahim Traoré was made the new interim president and has been showcasing phenomenal and responsive leadership for the nation, Burkina Faso and the entire African Anatomy as well. He is building the Africa we want, which is a definite call to the African Anatomy to rise up, be resolute and keep on fighting for the true revolution we wat to see in Africa.

Since February 2023, he has cut ties with France citing them as imperialists and true exploiters. He expelled all French forces in the country helping to fight against the Jihadist attacks and has since then, premiered a new partnership with Russia, which he claims are interested not only in the welfare of their country, Russia but want the same reciprocal win for the country, Burkina Faso. Burkina Faso has been a strong part of the Russia led Wagner Group that have made security arrangements for the Sahel region. The Alliance of Sahel States which originated as a result of a mutual defense pact on September 16th 2023 in response to the Nigerien crisis where ECOWAS threatened to bring forth a military intervention to reinstate civilian rule in Niger after the Coup d’état which led to the ascension of Captain Tchiani as the new head of state.  The pact evolved into a confederation on July 6th 2024 where leaders of Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali met and signed an agreement for deeper cooperation towards ensuring their bloc’s security. Over the months, since becoming President, Captain Traoré has prioritised national security, fought against rebel and implemented policies towards restructuring the country towards socialist gains for the development of the country, through the development of many factories, nationalization of many institutions and enterprises and businesses to promotion of traditional and patriotic advancements in the country.

Captain Traoré’s vocal criticism against western neo-colonialism is being seen evidentially in his quest to build a self-reliant Burkina Faso, not shaken by the ups and downs but resolute to turn the country. Right from his ascension to power, he has been involved in spearheading a revolution that defies the notion that has been characterised with African Heads of states as being impossible to turn things around. In just within a span of 2 years, he is setting factories, providing employment, ensuring free education and financial remuneration for graduates in his country, cutting ties with their colonial masters, building the auto mobile industry and igniting the catalyst for the technological cars in his country just like Tesla owned by Elon Musk, remembering the works of Patrice Lumumba and setting the stake sight for the accelerative growth we want in Burkina Faso. The memorial park and statue of and in honour of Captain Thomas Sankara by Captain Ibrahim Traoré has been a strong reflection of Captain Traoré’s stand against Imperialism, social injustices and most importantly, Pan-Africanistic ideals for self-determination for the true Africa we want.

Captain Traoré launched an agricultural program where the government was distributing tractors, motor pumps and motorcycles to support agricultural production. He is also constructing tomato processing plants and goldmines to reduce the rate of dependency in his country, create a self-reliant country where they can even have enough in their reserves to govern the country, independently. This can be seen in his gold mines that are being constructed and in the nationalization agenda of major institutions. Captain Traoré has made a strong stand not to be a subordinate for western exploitation but to be a revered partner in Global Politics. That is a definite appendage towards his stand in ensuring a Structured Global Anatomy. Captain Traoré nationalized two gold mines after assuming power and also constructed the country’s first gold refinery which was approved by the Council of Ministers in 2023.

The African Dream has been resurrected by likes such as Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The culture of our African Democracy is bringing renewed hopes to youths all around the world. We will never settle for less, till our governments work towards protecting the dignity of citizens and ensuring the probity of nations for the order of creation. I call on all African leaders to rally behind Captain Traoré, a man, exposing the tricks and tactics of imperialists, a man who is sacrificing for the unborn generation and a man who is instilling a new renaissance through ensuring equitable development and fighting to end terrorism in Africa. A man who is not condoning to foreign exploitation but rallying for Africa’s presence towards truly ensuring a structured Global Anatomy.  We can trust in him! When the whole world was against Col. Muammar Gaddafi, Nelson Mandela never denied the opportunity to meet Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. Today as well, in a world whereby we have dictatorial democrats, I will rather rally behind Captain Traoré than to appease to leaders who are serving as compradors to imperialists on our own land.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s leadership has reignited the flame of the African Dream, instilling a renewed sense of purpose and dignity across the continent. By prioritizing radical respect for the people, he has redefined the fabric of African democracy. His unwavering commitment in the face of adversity has inspired a new generation of Africans to strive for a brighter future. As we look to the future, Captain Traoré’s legacy serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of courageous leadership and the boundless potential of the African spirit. The systems have been polluted. The systems have been corrupted but we will never settle for less as we continue to revolutionize, transform and change the Global Anatomy!
