1 min read

The Senegalese and Gambian Anatomies have been having long standing disputes over their borders but are beginning to come on a shared front after talks held between both sides in August 2024.

Both sides have been able to come on agreements on some issues whiles they proceed on other matters. So far, few agreements have been reached.

There were 350 trucks stranded at their border but have been allowed to pass through without any payments. All tracks in transit to Gambia are required to pay for the electronic tracker. All cars also crossing the bridge can be able to pay in the Dalasi currency or the CFA currency.

The Gambia is expected to send a list of goods that are exempted from payments to Senegal for verification. All cars entering both Senegal and The Gambia have their Laissez-Passé increased from 10 to 30 days at a cost of 5000 CFA.
