African Gospel Mogul; Kofi Owusu Dua Augustine, popularly known as KODA from the Ghanaian Anatomy, has passed on. His death has caused a shock to many people from different walks of life across the globe due to the difference he brought to Gospel Music.

KODA was battling with a kidney problem which became very intense in 2023 and underwent a surgery the same year, with sponsorship of over $200K. His wife provided her kidney and ensured a kidney transplant to save his life but he left and passed on, on 21st April, 2024.

At Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, he became the Mass Director and the Music Director and instrumentalist of the Music Wing of Baptist Students Union. He rose to become one of Africa’s prolific Gospel Musicians.

The Global Freedom Board of AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL expresses their condolences the family of KODA. He is truly an inspiration to everyone in the Global Anatomy. May his soul continue to rest in Perfect Peace.
