Since Thursday 14th March, there has been internet cuts in countries across the West African Anatomy. The Nigerian, Liberian, Burkinabé, Beninois and Ghanaian Anatomies as well as The South African Anatomy have all been experiencing the disruptions.
The disruptions that have occurred are as a result of undersea cables that have been damaged. This has affected millions and millions of people across West Africa. Customers of telecommunications companies have been unable to have access to the Internet due to the network cuts.
Most people have also had breaks in their jobs because of their sole dependence on the Internet. Mobile money operators have also had interruptions across the networks which has made business activities generally on the low, due to the damage in the fibre optic cables.
