The Senegalese Anatomy will be having their General Elections on the 24th of March. This comes after the Government faced agitations for trying to postpone the Elections as declared by President Macky Sall.
President Macky Sall’s decision to postpone the General Elections due to irregularities which he claimed were under their Electoral Commission as well as certain candidates he felt were unqualified were his reason for postponing the Elections. However the decision was taken to court and President Macky Sall’s decision to postpone the Elections were ruled out and seen as unconstitutional.
The New General Elections will take place on March 24th, 2024 after being postponed from February 25th. Various political leaders are okay and delighted with the decision on the early event of the Elections. President Macky Sall will take no longer then in Power as he leaves office on April 2ND, 2024.
