PM. Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde of the Congolese Anatomy has resigned and sent his resignation letter to President Tshisekedi. Mr. Sama Lukomde is looking forward to joining the Parliamentary Caucus as a member of Parliament of which there are claims as the reason, behind his exit as Prime Minister.
In DR Congo, people cannot hold the dual position of being a Parliamentarian and serving as a Minister. President Tshisekedi has however asked Mr. Lukonde to continue serving till a new administration is put in place.
Mr. Lukonde begun his position as Prime Minister of The Congolese Anatomy on 15th February 2021 at 43. In the December 2023 Elections, he won the Elections as a Parliamentarian together with President Tshisekedi also winning for a new 5 year term. President Tshisekedi was sworn in for his second five year term on 20th January, 2024.
