The Ghanaian Anatomy is set to experience a Bye-Election after the denouncement of Mr. James Gyakye Quayson’s role and position as Member of Parliament for The Assin-North Constituency by the Supreme Court of Ghana. Mr. James Gyakye Quayson who hails from Assin Breku had his position as a Parliamentarian questioned in 2021 when Mr. Michael Ankomah-Nimfah filed a petition at the Cape Coast High Court challenging Mr. Quayson’s position as a Parliamentarian whilst he had a dual citizenship of both a Ghanaian and a Canadian at the time in 2021.
Mr. Michael Ankomah-Nimfah won the judgement and went to The Supreme Court for The interpretation of the judgement again this year , since Mr. Gyakye Quayson continued to work as a Parliamentarian after the Cape Coast High Court ruled on the matter.
