The Incumbent Government’s Party for The Gambian Anatomy; National People’s Party has begun their intense commitment to stand by President Adama Barrow for the next elections. This comes after their meeting in Banjul towards supporting President Adama Barrow.
Elders and Head leaders of the National People’s Party have met in Banjul to append their unwavering commitment towards standing for President Adama Barrow for the 2026 General Elections. Amongst these elders were The Vice President of The Gambian Anatomy; H.E. Muhammed Jallow and the Chairman of The Banjul National People’s Party; Ousman Wadda.
The National People’s Party chaired by Dembo Bojang was founded by President Adama Barrow on 31st December 2019. Until then, President Adama Barrow was part of the United Democratic Party. He however stood in the 2016 Presidential Elections as an independent candidate and won against Ex-President Yahya Jammeh with 43 percent of the total votes cast. President Adama Barrow who has been President of The Gambian Anatomy since 2017 after winning the 2016 and 2021 Presidential Elections has gained trust amongst the masses and is being looked at to continue his third term as there are no term limits in the constitution of the country.
