CONFEDERATION OF AFRICAN FOOTBALL READY FOR UPCOMING TOURNAMENT

The 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire will begin in January 13th 2024 to February 11th, 2024. The competition had its draw in Cote D’Ivoire on Thursday to allocate the various 24 qualified countries into their groups. The tournament was suspended on 3rd July 2023 by the Governing Board of the Confederation of African Football to January 2024.

The 2023 African Cup of Nations shifted to 2024 regardless of the shifted in date will bring many Africans in the Diaspora to Cote D’Ivoire and back to Africa. The tournament will keep The African Anatomy glued to this entertaining event. The President of The Confederation of African Football, Dr. Patrice Motsepe has said that the tournament will be the very best in the history of the event. Kenya and Zimbabwe were kicked out in the qualifying round ahead of the tournament due to Political interferences.

The football matches will take place at six stadiums across the country. The Ivorian Federation have widely prepared for the anticipated event with three new stadiums constructed and ready for the upcoming event. Football stars like Didier Drogba from the Ivorian Anatomy which hosts the tournament, Mike Obi from The Nigerian Anatomy were spotted at the Draw held in Cote D’Ivoire on October 12, 2023.
