The Zimbabwean Anatomy will be testing their Democratic System again as they vote on 23rd August, 2023 to elect the next President who lead The Zimbabwean Anatomy for the next 5 years. The Electoral Commission for The Southern African Anatomy is still in the process of making finalisations towards making a transparent, credible and fair Elections.
Out of the 23 Presidential Candidates who applied to contest ahead of the Elections, 11 were only approved. The Elections will involve Voting for The New President, Parliamentarians and Councillors. The Chairperson for The Zimbabwean Electoral Commission; Priscilla Chigumba, has also stated that all preparations towards the Elections should be done by August 19th, which is four days before the Elections.
In this Elections, if there is no Candidate who doesn’t get more than 50 percent of the votes, a run-off Elections will take place on 2nd October. The results for the Elections will be available within 5 days. President Mnangagwa from the ZANU PF is the favourite amongst the eleven Candidates and is being expected to win and continue his second term in office after winning the 2018 General Elections and taking his first term.
