The French Government has started evacuating members of their Anatomy in Niger. This comes as a result of the Coup D’etat that has taken place by Gen. Abdourahmane that ousted President Bazoum on 26th July, 2023. The first flight of French citizens, which took off from Niger to France had on board 262 passengers.
The French Government has also claimed that they experienced some form of sabotage at their embassies in Niger citing that as one of the reasons, for their departure. The Coup has showed gross hostility between the Nigerien Anatomy and the West. The Nigerien Anatomy have however been partnering with The Russian Anatomy and have been hoisting the flags of Russia after the Coup D’etat.
The Spanish and Italian Governments have also begun preparations to take members of their Anatomy from Niger. France has a military basement in Niger 🇳🇪 but all these military personnel will no more be functioning, due to their forced exit.
The French Military were in Niger to help stop the terrorist attacks by some Islamists in the region. However members of the Nigerien Anatomy begun to be infuriated when they claimed, the French personnel who had been deployed to fight against these Islamists were not playing their role.
