AL AHLY WIN THE AFRICAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Al Ahly one of the most phenomenal football clubs from The African Anatomy which was founded on 24th April 1907 has won the African Champions League again, making them title holders of the African Cup for the eleventh time. They won the Cup by a draw result in this second leg edition making them win the Cup, after after beating Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the first leg by 2 goals to 1 making them winners after an aggregate score post the second leg draw.

Wydad Casablanca were looking forward to securing a victory at their home in the Stade Muhammed V Stadium after Y.A. Allah scored the first goal for the team in the 27th minutes of the match in the first half. However, Al Ahly bounced back as M. Abdelmonem scored the final goal in the last twelve minutes of the game making the match a draw, with Al Ahly winning by aggregates on Sunday 11th June, 2023.

Al Alhly had 7 shots to 6 shots on target by Wydad Casablanca but Wydad Casablanca had more possession and passes than Al Ahly as they had fifty-four percent possession to Al Ahly who had 46 percent and Wydad Casablanca also having three hundred and eighty five passes to Al Ahly who had three hundred and thirty seven passes. Ah Ahly had only a yellow card though in their first line up, with Wydad Casablanca having six yellow cups for their first line up. Al Alhly has 42 Egyptian Premier League Titles, 38 Egyptian Cup Titles and 13 Egyptian Super Cup Titles to their credit.
