KENYAN ANATOMY PROTESTS AT THE AIRPORT, LEAVES PASSENGERS STRANDED

1 min read

Workers in Kenya’s Airport are on a strike following a takeover in the Management by Adani Group, a foreign company from India.

Staffs began the strike on September 11th 2024 following the arranged change of management to the hands of the Indian company, of which the Airport workers and citizens from the Kenyan Anatomy are displeased with.

Passengers have been left stranded because staffs have all left their jobs. The Adani Group is in a deal with the Kenyan Government to buy the facilities and own them for 30 years for $1.85 billion. The group is also looking forward to renovating and reconstructing the Airport, also constructing a new runway.

Staffs have been seen protesting against the deal while the police have been firing tear gas at the protestors mainly led by the Kenyan Airport Workers Union. Police have also been seen yesterday and today playing roles of the airport workers at the airport since passengers have been left starred.
