President of the Iranian Anatomy, Ebrahim Raisi, has passed away following a crush in the helicopter he was travelling in, on Sunday. Mr. Ebrahim passed away at 63 years old.

President Raisi was flying to the North Western end of East Azerbaijan for an inauguration ceremony of the Quz Qalasi and Khoda Afarin Dams which is a collaborative power project on the Aras river with Azerbaijan. The helicopter in which he and his associates were in had to make a bad landing due to the fog and bad weather conditions, leading to the plane crash in the mountainous region. There were rescue teams sent immediately to help but they found it difficult in finding President Raisi and his team, because of the fog. They were later found dead and sent to a cemetery in Tabriz, Iran.

Mr. Mohammad Mokhber, the first Vice President, will take over as interim President leading to an election which will take place in the country, within 50 days. Seven other associates with President Ebrahim Raisi passed on, during the helicopter crash.
