The National Democratic Congress have appended Professor Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate to Mr. John Dramani Mahama, Ex-President of The Ghanaian Anatomy who also is the Party’s flagbearer for the 2024 General Elections. This comes after Mr. John Dramani Mahama presented Prof. Jane Opoku-Agyemang as his preferred running mate ahead of the Elections on February 27th, 2024.
Prof. Jane Opoku Agyemang born on 22nd November 1951 and hails from Cape Coast; Capital of the Central Region of Ghana. Prof. Jane Opoku-Agyemang has been endorsed by the National Executive Committee and Council of Elders of the Party to be the running mate. This makes it her second time, she serves as running mate as she served firstly as running mate in the 2020 Elections to Mr. John Dramani Mahama.
Prof. Jane Opoku Agyemang served as the Education Minister for the Ghanaian Anatomy from 2013 to 2017 and was the first female Vice Chancellor when she took the position as Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast from 2008 to 2012. The entire party have rallied behind the Educationist and English Professor and are looking forward to their victory in the 2024 December Elections of the Ghanaian Anatomy.
