UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL WARNS THE RAPID SUPPORT FORCES OF THE SUDANESE ANATOMY

The United Nations Security Council has pronounced an end to the siege by the Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in, Al-Fashir, a city in Sudan. The Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Army have been in disputes over struggle for power as well as the supreme exercise or power in the Security sector in their country which sparked a war since April 2023.

In April 2023, there was a conflict between the Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and the Army of the Sudanese Anatomy leading to displacement and deaths of several millions of Sudanese Nationals. The Rapid Support Forces which has about 100, 000 Fighters has been involved also in wars in Libya and Yemen, and the fight in their country Sudan has led to loss of lives, food insecurity, famine and deaths.

Al-Fashir, one of the biggest cities in Sudan has been under threat following the invasion of the Rapid Support Forces. The 15 Member United Nations Security Council have denounced the war and warned both sides to disengage in the war.
