RUSSIAN FLAGS SEEN AT NIGERIA PROTESTS

More than 90 protestors holding Russian flags in Nigeria have been arrested in their protests triggered towards economic hardships in the country. Russian flags have been at rallies in Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso and this time, being observed in Nigeria. This protests begun on August 1, tagged “10 Days of Rage” as a ten day nationwide demonstration, aimed at tackling and ending economic hardships in the country.

The Nigerian Anatomy, the most populated people and country in Africa, had thousands of people speaking against the economic crisis in the country. There were rallies seen in several towns across the country, but notable of them were in Kaduna, Katsina and Kano.

At least 13 demonstrators were killed by security forces. The Russian Embassy in Nigeria post the flags being hoisted by the protestors, have denied any association with the specified protestors as some claim, the Russian Government are believed to be sponsors behind the protests.
