1 min read

Russia and China have embarked on a joint patrol across the North Pacific ocean, the largest and deepest part of the Pacific ocean, as well as the Bering and Chukchi Seas just nearby the coast of Alaska.

These two allies who have been cooperating together on various issues for some time now, embarked on this project with two bomber jets from China and two bomber jets as well from Russia. They were intercepted off the coast of Alaska by jet fighters from the American and Canadian Anatomy.

The exercise according to the Russian Defence Ministry was not for a particular “war” act but was held as part of the Russian-Chinese military cooperation plan for 2024. The NORAD officials have also stated that, the Russian and Chinese aircrafts did not enter either the airspaces of the American or Canadian Anatomies’ and were therefore, not seen as threats.
