The North Korean Anatomy’s Supreme Leader; Kim Jong Un, has appended his uncompromising support for the Russian Anatomy in the Russia-Ukraine War. This expression of appendage took place in Pyongyang-North Korea, where President Putin of the Russian Anatomy was present, marking his first visit to North Korea in 24 years.
Pyongyang has been involved in the provision of weapons to Russia in Russia’s war with Ukraine. However both sides have denied negotiation on arms. They also signed a new defense agreement committed to strengthening their military ties and supporting each other when any of the parties is attacked. This agreement will replace the bilateral treaties begun in 1961 and continued in 2000 and 2001.
North Korea is currently under sanctions by the United Nations Security Council for its missile acts and nuclear weapons. Russia also joins in as they have sanctioned by the United Nations, United States and their allies following the invasion of Ukraine.
The meeting has been a historic one between both countries as it has reinforced their bilateral ties and deepened the unity and solidarity between them.
US Secretary of State; Anthony Blinken, has stated that President Putin’s visit to North Korea has appended how desperate Russia are to deepen their relations with countries that can support Russia in their full scale invasion against Ukraine.
