Prolific footballer turned President, Mr. George Weah’s life is a true message of Amelioration to the African Anatomy. President George Weah has been the President of The Liberian National Anatomy since 2018. Prior to his coming into Politics, he was also a renowned footballer who played phenomenally and made a name in African Football as a Football Legend. He begun by playing for The Young Survivors Club, a teen Football Club where he chalked many successes there and took the club into the first Division of The Liberian Premier League. After rising from Liberia where he won the Liberian Premier League and Liberian Cup, he became an admirable player by top notch clubs in the world and played for football clubs like Chelsea FC, PSG, Al-Jazira and AC Milan.
President Weah of The Liberian Anatomy in 2005 stood as a Presidential Candidate but lost to Ex-President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. He was a Relentless figure and In 2011, he stood as the running mate for Winston Tubman of The Congress for Democratic Change Party, but they lost to Ex-President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. For the third time, Presidemt Weah again stood for the Presidential Elections in April 2016 and won a run off vote against the then former Vice President Joseph Boakai.
Mr. Weah after retiring from football in 2003 did not stop his divine call as a Gamechanger. Since his time even post 2003, he has been a quintessential Political figure who has been a hope to young ones to Stand Tall and pursue their dreams. He has campaigned against rape with a special department in Liberia that works towards prosecuting people engaged in serial violence. He cut his salary down with a 25 percent reduction when he begun in office in 2018.
President Weah has been a very pehmeomal leader who has helped play immense roles in sustaining continued Peace and Democratic Change in Liberia after the Civil War that hit the country from 1989 to 2003. He was the African, European and World Player or the Year in 1995. He has used his funds from football to assist war torn children who were deprived of their rights in the Liberian Civil War. As President, he has constructed about 20 new market centers in Liberia, he has constructed 14 Millitary Hospitals in South East Liberia, increased the remunerations of Doctors from US$700 to US$2,000, made public Education for The Liberian Anatomy, brought down inflation, constructed and renovated numerous roads in Liberia and he continues to do more to help the Liberian Anatomy.
