Mr. Rached Ghannouchi, a Tunisian politician, and co-founder of the Ennahdha Party and a Former Speaker of the Assembly of The Representatives of the People of Tunisia has been sentenced to one year in jail for engagement in terrorist related activities.
Mr. Rached Ghannouchi 
has also been fined with 300 Dollars. Mr. Rached Ghannouchi was a major target of the Government with the inclusion of The Police, whilst a section of The Tunisian Anatomy including opposition parties were against the ruling, citing it as arbitrary.
The 81 year old Man aside him being ruled for a year in prison was spoken against by the Police of Tunisia. The Police had cited claims of Mr. Ghannouchi calling the Police Force of The Tunisian Anatomy, as tyrants. The Police with the Government are satisfied with the ruling whilst the National Salvation Front, a coalition of opposition in the country are dissatisfied with the ruling.
