The Islamic Republic of Iran formerly known as Iran in the Middle East has most of her inhabitants from the neighbouring countries. They are surrounded by Arab speaking countries but they do not speak Arab, but speak Persi. The Politics of the country takes the place of an Islamic theocracy which begun in 1979 after the overthrow of Iran’s monarchy.

In Iran there are two unelected positions which are the Supreme Leader who is the highest ranking and political religious authority who is appointed by the Assembly of Experts and the Guardian Council of which about half of them are selected by the Supreme Leader. All selected members are vetted and approved by the Supreme Leader.
