Laurent Gbagbo’s Party; The African People’s Party is rallying behind Laurent Gbagbo to take over the helm of affairs as President of the Ivorian Anatomy from October 2025 when the country holds their General Elections.
Ex-President Laurent Gbagbo who was President of The Ivorian Anatomy from 2000 to 2011 is also looking forward to run as a flagbearer for his Party. Mr. Gbagbo who was acquitted by the International Criminal Court in 2019 for alleged roles in violence leading to at least three thousand lives passing on due to his inability to concede defeat in the 2010 Elections which led to a civil war, returned back to his country in 2021.
Mr. Gbagbo is looking forward to contest on the ticket of his new Political Party; The African People’s Party after the Ivorian Popular Front which he founded in 1982 lost credence in him. He is however now leading The African People’s Party.
