DR. NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA FROM THE NIGERIAN ANATOMY, A POSITIONARY FIGURE IN AFRICA’S REHABILITATION

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala from The Nigerian Anatomy stands tall as a solidified Global Woman whose life of Amelioration is indeed a message to the African Anatomy. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the first African and not only African but African Woman to be the Director General of the World Trade Organisation.

As the Director General of World Trade Organisation, her role serves as a plus for the African Continental Free Trade Area which seeks to promote a common market for Trade amongst all African countries. She is of much concern that The African Continent must reduce costs within the continent, trade with our member countries more due to the high tariffs and Trade barriers in exporting locally produced and made goods. On 10th March, 2023 she launched a virtual project which she begun from 2019 to assist 8 member countries of the African Continental Free Trade Area, enjoy an inclusive and easy policy.

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala took the highly esteemed office as Director General of The World Trade Organisation on 1st March 2001 and will be finishing in 2025. The World Trade Organisation established in 1995 is a Financial Organisation with a membership representation of 164 National Anatomies that deals with ensuring smooth, fairly negotiable and mutually productive Trade between and amongst Nations. The Organisation has a Secretariat Staff of 164 members with Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala from The Nigerian Anatomy as the Director General.

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was the Minister of Finance for Nigeria twice from 2003 to 2006 and from 2011 to 2015. She also was the Foreign Minister for The Nigerian Anatomy shortly in 2006. Dr. Okonjo-Iweala is the first African Woman to have ever vied for the noble office of President of The World Bank. She has also served on several advisory Boards such as in Departments from The United Nations, Clinton Global Initiative, International Monetary Fund and The World Economic Forum Youth Global Leaders. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is an economist who has worked on several Trade Boards for over 30 years. She has worked on Boards such as Standard Chartered PLC, Twitter Inc., African Union, Vaccine Alliance and The World Bank.
