Ghana has lost a sensational music genius by name Charles Kwadwo Fosu known as Daddy Lumba. He was born in Nsuta in the Ashaanti Region of Ghana. Daddy Lumba was born on 29th September 1964 and passed on, on 26th July 2025.

He was a music sensational who had about 34 albums to his credit. He went to Adu Gyamfi Senior High School and later transferrred to Juaben Senior High School. He rose to prominence from 1986 and has been selling out good music and performing across Ghana and the world till his demise in July 2025 at the Bank Hospital in Accra. He was set to produce his retirement album till he passed on.
He opened DLFM, a radio station on Ghana that gas been broadcasting in one of the country’s dialects, Twi. He has received so many awards including Ghana Music Awards and Exclusive Men of the Year Africa Awards.

A popular Ghanaian actor and comedian nicknamed Lilwin has expressed distaste over the family of Daddy Lumba’s decision to hold a candle light vigil on August 2nd, being the same day for his much anticipated movie Premier titled Captain Ibrahim Traore, which talks about the Revolutionary Burkina Faso leader Captain Traore and the works he is doing to change Burkina Faso. Lil Win claims Daddy Lumba just died and another date could have been set for the night vigil rather on the same date, which he is premiering his movie he claims, he had spent over $1 million on the movie.
