The Ugandan Anatomy’s Army has been accused of fighting along with the M23 rebels who are in the quest to take the Eastern regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo and their natural resources.
The M23 Rebels called the March 23 2009 which refers to the Peace Agreement between the DR Congo Government and the National Congress for the Defence of The People have been waging war with the Allied Democratic Forces Rebel group (a group which seeks to overthrow the DR Congo and Ugandan Governments and establish an Islamist State) have all been causing Political tensions in the country with the aim of removing President Felix Tshisekedi who has been President of the Congolese Anatomy since 2019.
The M23 Rebels who are mostly Tutsis from DR Congo and Rwanda have waged a new threat since 2022. However UN Troops have indicated that they have evidence which shows that the Ugandan Army are rather on the side of the M23 rebels. The UN Report also states that about 2,000 to 3,000 Rwandans have been siding with the M23 Rebels as they have been fighting the Congolese Army.
The Ugandan Army have denied these reports although for the Rwandan Army, it is clearly known that the M23 Rebels are a proxy force to the Rwandan Army. The M23 rebels have been accused of their presence in the Rwandan Genocide of which about 800000 Tutsis were killed with a moderate number of Hutus also killed.
