The European Union in their recent meeting held this week on 18th April 2024, have finally decided to place some sanctions on the Iranian Anatomy following their attack on Israel. This decision took place during the EU Summit in Brussels.
After the European Union had already placed sanctions against Iran for selling drones and missiles to Russsia to help in their war against Ukraine, the Iranian Anatomy are likely to receive more severe sanctions after their recent act. President of The European Union ; Mr. Charles Michel has stated that it is very important that sanctions are taken against Iran to isolate them. The American Anatomy have also stated that they will place their own special sanctions against Iran in the coming days.
Iran has maintained their stand that the attack not only from their country but from Yemen, Iraq and Syria was as a result of the attack by Israel on their consulate in Damascus-Syria on 1st April, which killed 13 representatives from the Iranian Anatomy.
The Bloc’s first appearance after the Iran attack also spoke on providing more defense systems to Ukraine to help them combat the fight with their rivals, Russia. The American Anatomy are also looking at providing a $61 billion aid for Ukraine which will entail the purchase of weapons to help aid the Ukrainian Anatomy.
