The US military is set to block all ships from entering or leaving Iran’s ports and coastal areas starting today Monday 13th April. This comes after talks between the US and Iran failed to reach an agreement to end the war. The negotiations, held in Islamabad, were the first direct talks between the two countries in over a decade.
The US Central Command stated that the blockade will affect all ships, regardless of their country, entering or leaving Iranian ports. However, ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz to or from non-Iranian ports won’t be affected.
