The General Elections slated for the Zimbabwean Anatomy which was slated for a day’s activity on Wednesday 23rd August 2023 went through to the next day; Thursday 24th August, due to delays in the provision of ballot papers and insufficient ballot papers at some polling stations. 40 wards out of 12, 384 were delayed with ballot papers in the country.

Stations in Harare were not left out as there were delays in delivering ballot papers in some polling stations there making the Elections in some stations to be postponed a day after. This delay upset some voters who had stood in queues from the morning only to realise that the ballot papers were finished and the polling station officers were waiting the delivery of new ones. It resulted in disputes in some centers which drew Police Men and Women to some centers to calm the situations.

As at 6pm evening time in Zimbabwe, lots of voters were still waiting to vote yet were unsure if they could could vote on Wednesday. This made the Zimbabwean Electoral Commission reschedule some of the elections to Thursday. Various citizens are claiming this is an intentional plan to keep President Mnangagwa leading the country for a second term. Supporters from the Citizens Coalition for Change with Mr. Nelson Chamisa are also rallying seriously behind him and are hopeful of a turn around in this Elections.
