THE GHANAIAN ANATOMY RELENTLESSLY FIGHTS AGAINST LGBTQ ACTS

The Ghanaian Anatomy’s Parliament has confirmed that, as part of sanctions meted out to individuals who encourage, support or facilitate LGBTQ acts, culprits will be charged with a six month sentence or less.

This sanction was proposed by Hon. Sam George, a major convener against LGBTQ qctivities in the country who describes LGBTQ related activities as a perversion. Hon. Sam George, a Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency is a major proponent of the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values bill, also known as the Anti-LGBT bill and has campaigned since 2021 for all related sexual activities in the country to be made illegal. According to the amendment Bill which is still at the consideration stage, those found guilty could face between three to six months sentence or pay a fine of between Ghc600 to Ghc1200.

A higher percentage of The Ghanaian Anatomy are also against LGBTQ. These were the words also of Ex-President of The Ghanaian Anatomy; H.E. John Dramani Mahama who is currently also vying as a Presidential Candidate ahead of the 2024 General Elections in Ghana -“The faith I have will not allow me to accept a man marrying a man, and a woman marrying a woman.”
