SERWAA AMIHERE CALLED TO THE BAR

Renowned Ghanaian broadcast journalist and news presenter, Serwaa Amihere, has achieved a significant milestone in her career, having been called to the Ghana Bar today. This remarkable accomplishment marks the beginning of a new chapter in her illustrious career, as she transitions into the legal profession.

Born on March 8th 1990, Serwaa Amihere has etched her name in the annals of Ghanaian media, mesmerizing viewers with her outstanding journalistic prowess and magnetic screen persona. Armed with a foundation in Banking and Finance from Methodist University College, Serwaa embarked on her career as a producer at GHOne TV, a TV station in Ghana, eventually ascending to the role of news anchor and demonstrating her adaptability and flair in the media landscape.

Serwaa’s academic prowess is evident in her impressive educational background. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance from Methodist University College and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She furthered her education at the Ghana School of Law, where she graduated and has been called to the bar this month, October 2025.

Throughout her career, Serwaa has garnered numerous awards and recognition for her outstanding work in media. Her notable awards include the Television Female Newscaster of the Year Award at the 2018 Radio and Television Personality Awards, Producer of the Year at the 2018 Golden Movie Awards, and Female TV Newscaster of the Year at the 2019 and 2020 Radio and Television Personality Awards. She also won the TV Personality of the Year award at the 2020 National Communication Awards.

Serwaa is not only a dedicated media personality but also a passionate philanthropist and entrepreneur. She is the founder of the Serwaa Amihere Foundation, which focuses on empowering underprivileged communities through education, business development, and healthcare initiatives. Additionally, she co-founded the clothing brand Office and Co by SA and Oh My Hair/Oh My Nails.
