PRESIDENT TINUBU OF THE NIGERIAN ANATOMY, PROCEEEDS WITH THE GAS PROJECT

President Bola Tinubu of the Nigerian Anatomy met with the Equatorial Guinean Anatomy’s President; H.E. Theodore Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in Equatorial Guinea from August 14th on a three day visit, where they signed an agreement on the Pipeline Gas Project.

The agreement centered on legal and regulatory measures for the gas pipeline, implementation, transit of natural gas, holdings of the gas pipeline and general conduct.

They also spoke on issues on employment and food security, peace building for National Anatomies like the Sudanese and Congolese Anatomies, the African Continental Free Trade Area and Multilateral relations.

The gas pipeline was a joint agreement by Nigeria and Morocco sigjed in 2016, to deliver gas from Nigeria to countries across Africa. In June 2023, the Ivorian, Guinean, Beninois and Liberian also joined the agreement. The project is also supported by the Economic Community of West African States, which aims to boost energy security in Africa and is expected to cost around $25 billion dollars.
