PRESIDENT MAHAMA REDUCES EXECUTIVE FROM 123 TO 60 – GHANAIAN ANATOMY

President John Mahama post his swearing in to office as the 13th President of the Ghanaian Anatomy, has reduced the number of government ministries from 30 to 23.

This act by President Mahama is part of measures towards ensuring an efficient government whiles eschewing delays and bureaucracies in government operations. The move is also in line with the President’s aim of working with only 60 ministers as he canpaigned before being elected into office.

“I promise you a leaner government. We’ll have fewer ministers and cut government expenditure, and any savings that we make will be used to better the lives of our teachers and other national workers,” the then presidential candidate said on one of his engagements.

Ministries that have been revoked include the Ministry of Information, National Security, Railway Development, Sanitation and Water Resources, Parliamentary Affairs, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and Public Enterprises.

The former Executive being run by H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo had 123 ministers. President Mahama looks forward to creating a leaner and efficient government that will better lead the Ghanaian Anatomy.
