PRESIDENT FILIPE NYUSI OF THE MOZAMBICAN ANATOMY, ENDS HIS TERM OF OFFICE

The Mozambican Anatomy will be voting on Wednesday, 9th October 2024, to elect the successor for President Filipe Nyusi, who has served for two terms as President of the Mozambican Anatomy, since 2015.

The Laws for the Mozambican Anatomy allow for a president to run at most for a two 5-year term. At least, 16 million voters are expected to vote in the upcoming elections slated for 9th October 2024.

The ruling Party; Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (Frelimo) is looking forward to retain power with David Chapo, their Candidate. On the other hand, there is an uprise from Venacio Mondlane, a banker running as an independent candidate and supported by the Optimistic Party for the Development of Mozambique, who are mostly people who exit the Frelimo Party.

The Renamo Party is also represented by Ossufo Momade together with other candidates who are looking to change the government in power, after the jihadist insurgency which has led to thousands and thousands of people fleeing their homes.
