Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has been presented by President John Dramani Mahama, the fourteenth President of the Ghanaian Anatomy, as the new Minister of Education designate, subject for vetting and approval by the National Anatomy’s parliament. This was announced in the President’s second list of Ministerial Designates presented to the Parliament for vetting and approval.
Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has been the Member of Parliament for Tamale South since 2005. He was also the Minister for Communications from 2012 to 2013, the Minister for Trade and Industry from 2013 to 2014, and the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations from 2014 to 2017. Hon. Haruna Iddrisu is a highly celebrated and revered politician in Ghana. His selfless and disciplined leadership has earned him an envious reputation all across Africa. He was the Minority.
He was the Minority Leader in Parliament from 2017 to 2021 and was replaced with Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, who duals as the current Minister of Finance. Hon. Haruna Iddrisu is also the CEO of Steadfast FC located in Tamale.
