Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, an academician and the former Provost of the College of Education Studies at the University of Cape Coast, has been appointed as the new Director of the Ghana Education Service.
Professor Davis has a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education from Monash University in Australia. He has been very instrumental in promoting Mathematics Education in Ghana, as a member of the Ghana Mathematics Association.
Ptofessor Davis suceeds Dr. Eric Nkansah who was Director from October 2022 till the new appointment which came in the end of January 2025. His appointment has been seen by stakeholders from the Ghanaian Anatomy as a monumental step towards the promotion of quality education in Ghana.
