FAILED ATTEMPT TO OUST CAPTAIN IBRAHIM TRAORÉ OF THE BURKINABÉ ANATOMY, FROM POWER

2 min read

There was an attempted plot to oust the Military President from The Burkinabe Anatomy; Captain Ibrahim Traore, which failed. Four of such perpetrators have been arrested whilst 2 are on the run.

The Military Government have stated that it was with much shame to see officers whose oath was to defend their country, plotting to undermine the security of the state. Out of the four arrested officers, three were leading special forces units in the Burkinabe Anatomy. Last year there were two different coups in Burkina Faso with the first being in January 2022 when President Roch Marc Christian Kabore was ousted by Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba who put President Kabore under house arrest and had planned to restore power within 36 months and the second in September when Captain Traore ousted Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba. Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba left the country to Togo few days after he was ousted.

Reports by Freedom Giants from The Burkinabe Anatomy state that Major Abdoul Aziz Aouoba, Sergeant Brice Ramde, Windinmalegde Kabore and Corporal Sami Dah were the main leaders engaged in the fight to destabilise the planned transition by Captain Ibrahim Traore who led a Coup D’etat exactly a year ago on September 30, 2022.
