EX-PRIME MINISTER OF THE BURUNDIAN ANATOMY SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT

Alain-Gyillaume Bunyoni, an Ex-Prime Minister from The Burundian Anatomy who was arrested in April 2023 following charges levelled against him has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Bunyoni was tried in the second half of 2023 and on December 8th 2023, found guilty of plotting to oust President Evariste Ndayishimiye from power as well as kill him. Mr. Bunyoni was Prime Minister from 2020 to 2022 until he was relieved of his post after President Evariste Ndayishimiye spoke of plans by Mr. Bunyoni in holding a coup d’etat to remove him.

President Bunyoni was found guilty of plotting to annihilate Incumbent President Évariste Ndayishimiye of the Burundian Anatomy. Four properties as well as fourteen vehicles of his, will also been taken into custody. President Evariste has been in Power as President of the Burundian Anatomy since 2020.
