ELECTIONS FOR THE SENEGALESE ANATOMY, POSTPONED

1 min read

General Elections for the Senegalese Anatomy which were scheduled to February have been postponed to August after a postponement bill was passed by their country’s Parliament.

The situation has been seen as undemocratic which seeks to keep and extend the current President’s tenure in office even though constitutionally, he is to end his tenure of office after two terms. In the midst of the postponement, President Sacky Mall who would have stepped out of office immediately after the February elections will now be in till the elections finally takes place with the winner of the Elections declared. Most opposition groups have stated that the postponement bill which has taken effect is an intentional plot by President Sall to extend his time in office as President of the Senegalese Anatomy.

President Macky Sall however has stated that, the elections have been delayed because of various irregularities within the Presidential Candidacy list. This postponement has been seen by the International Community as one, that has marred the Democratic Sovereignty of the Senegalese Anatomy.
