Ghana mourns the loss of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, an industrialist, and Man of God who left an indelible mark on Ghana’s technological and industrial landscape. Born on August 26, 1948, in Bom, Ashanti Region, Apostle Safo Kantanka has been a resolute figure whose entrepreneurial drive has inspired a generation of Africans.

As the founder and chairman of the Kantanka Group, Apostle Safo Kantanka revolutionized Ghana’s automotive industry with the production of the country’s first locally manufactured car in 1998. His ingenuity and creativity led to the design and production of various models, including SUVs, limousines, and electric cars, cementing his reputation as a visionary and a mastermind.
Beyond his technological achievements, Apostle Safo Kantanka was a devoted spiritual leader and philanthropist. As the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, which he established in 1971, he combined faith with practical solutions to everyday problems, earning him the admiration and respect of countless Ghanaians. His philanthropic efforts were remarkable, providing scholarships for needy students, funding community projects, and supporting vulnerable groups.
Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka’s legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. His pioneering spirit, innovative genius, and commitment to community development have left an enduring impact on Ghana’s industrial and technological landscape. May his memory be a blessing to us all.
