1 min read

The Congolese Anatomy are experiencing another turmoil after the military of the country and M23 rebels, resume fightings again. Fightings had ceased after a peace agreement was signed on July 31, 2024, between DR Congo and Rwanda, but the fightings resumed in December 2024 as the M23 rebels began fighting again.

Fightings had been very severe in 2023 and 2024, leading to several displacements. Displacements have happened again as people have fled to the north and south following the fighting, drawing closer to the Lubero territory.

The M23 rebels are mainly made up of Tutsis from Rwanda, who claim to be fighting the DR Congo Government due to discrimination and bad governance. Rwanda has been accused by the Congolese Government of supporting the M23 Rebels in fighting their government.
