Freedom Giant: Isaac Kwabena Boadu Date: 5th September, 2025

Ahmed Ololade known as Asake, a talented Nigerian singer and songwriter, was born on January 13, 1995 to Muslim parents Mr. and Mrs. Ololade. His name comes from his mother’s first name which he uses as a sign of love and respect for her.

Asake’s resolute walk in his music career has led to his music making waves in the music industry as he thrives with a unique blend of traditional and contemporary African sounds. Asake signed to YBNL Nation in February 2022 by Olamide and later in July 2022 when his sixth single Omo Ope was already trending. He later on signed on to Empire Distribution. Asake has been consistently producing hit tracks that resonate with fans worldwide.

Asake’s music is a vibrant fusion of Afrobeats and Afropop, infused with the rich rhythms of traditional African sounds that set him apart in the genre. But it was his sophomore album “Work of Art” that catapulted him to stardom, debuting at number 2 on the Global Albums chart and an impressive number 5 on the US Top Albums chart. The album’s critical and commercial success wasn’t just a milestone – it solidified Asake’s position as a trailblazer in Afrobeats, with his unique sound resonating far beyond borders and cementing his status as a leading artist in the industry.

Asake’s discography is a testament to his musical prowess, with hits like “Why Love,” “Satisfaction,” “Military,” and “Sunshine” showcasing his knack for crafting infectious hooks and meaningful lyrics that strike a chord with fans globally, cementing his status as a trailblazer in the Afrobeats genre.

39 ethnographic objects of Ugandan Ancestry at the University of Cambridge’s Museum have been loaned to Uganda for three years as part of measures by the Ugandan Anatomy, in building on their culture as they reflect on their past.

The ethnographic objects will be kept at Uganda’s Capital; Kampala, for exhibitions. The Ugandan Museum’s Directory are believing the same gesture by the Cambridge University will take place elsewhere and most possibly, this time be returned permanently and not on a loan as they reflect on their independence which they took from Britain in 1962.

These ethnographic objects have been owned by the Cambridge University for about a century now after they were donated by the public and some most notably by an Anglican Missionary present in the 1890s in Uganda.

Promise Oladimeji Aloba, a Nigerian Upcoming Artiste with his stagename known as Mohbad has died on 12th September mysteriously at the age of 27 leaving behind a wife and a child. This voracious singer from The Nigerian Anatomy was coming up so fast and many have juxtaposed his death to be a planned evil by those around him.

Mohbad as he is popularly known made some confessions on his sick bed before dying that a substance was put into his cup of water by Naira Marley which he didn’t know. He said he was so much in Love for Naira Marley but had been betrayed by the singer. Mohbad was also taken to a cemetery at Ikorodu, a few hours after his death with little or no information concerning his burial and only a few witnessing his burial ceremony. Mohbad in June raised an alarm to the Police throwing light on people who were after his death, but no one actually paid attention to this. Mohbad was initially signed to Marlian Records owned by Naira Marley till he left in 2022. Mohbad also stated that Naira Marley hired people to beat him after he left the Marlian Records. Whilst Mr. Aloba, father of Mohbad has stated that Naira Marley and Sam Larry had no issues with Mohbad and should not be involved with Mohbad’s death, Mrs. Aloba; Mohbad’s Mum has stated that Mohbad begun to see hell after he signed unto Marlian Records.

Bella Shmurda a singer and songwriter has called the Nigerian Police to arrest Naira Marley and Sam Larry. Mohbad has revealed very sensitive information which shows that many ensued him before his death. He even stated that 2 Million Naira given to him by Davido was not fully received but received with only half the amount.

Swahili, the official language of the East African Community is now the official working language for the African Union now. This new embarkment was after the Vice President of Tanzania; Philip Mpango, argued for the language to be made Africa’s official language, stating it is spoken by over a 100 million people in Africa.

Swahili also natively known as Kiswahili is spoken officially in countries like South Sudan, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi and Kenya. Swahili has now become Africa’s most Internationally locally recognized language. This language was also used by President Julius Nyerere of Tanzania to promote his country’s identity as a people, post Independence. Nigerian Playwright and Poet, Wole Soyinka in 1960 also pushed for Swahili to be used as Africa’s Language.

After Engish and French which carries a highher percentage of languages spoken within the African Anatomy, most Philosophers believe if Swahilihi is really formalized, the language will become a preferred Pan African Language which will also boost the speaking of more local languages like Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Twi and Bambala which has now been made as the official recognized and official speaking language in Mali, now to be patronized as their preferred speaking dialects.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation has also introduced a new Day to celebrate the Swahili language yearly, known as World Kiswahili Day on July 7th.

Fela Kuti was a Nigerian Musician, Bandleader, Multi-Instrumentalist and Human Rights Activist, whose stand was to see to the promotion of Democratic and Political Freedom in Africa. He lived form 1938 to 1997. He spoke of Colonialism and Corruption as the main debilitating threats towards Good Governance, in the Global Anatomy.

Fela Kuti was a Relentless leader who stood strong and courageous in all his acts, to see to Freedom right from Nigeria, to every nook and cranny of the Global Anatomy. He started to rise in the 1970s and was very phenomenal in all his strides. He brought about phenomenal albums like Zombie, Live!, Shuffering and Shmiling, Army Arrangement, Gentleman and Up Side Down, that were all highly patronised in the Global Anatomy. In the late 1970s he formed the Kalakuta Republic Commune Band which was later seized through a Millitary Raid in Nigeria. He was imprisoned for almost two years by the Buhari Government. He survived that and was very relentless as he continued singing in the 1980s, and went throughout the world fighting for Freedom though his Music.

His Son Femi Kuti and Grandson Omorinmade Kuti have also stood strongly by him and have continued to spread his music to the Global Anatomy. They have also been phenomenal musicians and their latest Album; LEGACY +, released in February 2021 has been nominated by the United States Music Awards for the upcoming Grammys awards, in the Global Music category. AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL hails Fela Kuti for his Relentless spirit in standing tall for Freedom through his acts and commends all Freedom Giants, to stand Relentless in all their pursuits.
