The Ministry of Finance for the Zimbabwean National Anatomy has instituted certain strategies to boost the use of the Zimbabwean Dollar over the United States Dollar. This comes as a result of the inflationary spirals in the Southern country located between Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers.

The Government of Zimbabwe headed by President Mnangagwa has ordered for all Institutions operating under the Government to receive receipts in their local currency; Zimbabwean Dollar. Custom Duties have also be ordered by the Government to be paid through the Zimbabwean Dollars. The Government has also instituted a 1 percent tax on all on all order of payments sent abroad in foreign currencies.

The Government of Zimbabwe believes that these measures will boost demand for the Zimbabwean Dollar and shift attention from the US Dollar to the Zimbabwean Dollar. There have been few exceptions on the payment of custom duties with certain luxuriant goods, which according to the Government, can be paid in foreign currencies. These Institutionalisations by the Government of Zimbabwe has been criticised by some economists. However, The Government of Zimbabwe is hopeful of this new order as they keep the Zimbabwean Dollar as the Legal Tender for most Transactions in the country.

The post THE GOVERNMENT OF ZIMBABWE TAKES PROACTIVE MEASURES TO SAVE THEIR ZIMBABWEAN DOLLAR first appeared on AFRICAN VOICES INTERNATIONAL.

The National Anatomy of Zimbabwe is set to have their General Elections on the 23rd of August, 2023 after their last General Elections that took place on August 2018. This was announced by President Emmerson Mnangagwa; President of The National Anatomy of Zimbabwe.

Under the Constitution of Zimbabwe, a President is allowed to serve two five year terms. This makes it possible for President Mnangagwa to serve for another term after coming in and serving for his first term, from 2018.

President Mugabe was ousted from office as President of The Zimbabwean Anatomy in November 2017 and also removed as the Leader of Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) and replaced with Mr. Emmerson Mnangagwa who formally became the President the following year. This removal of President Mugabe took place on 14th November, 2017 when the Zimbabwean Defense Force took hold of the Zimbabwean Broadcasting Cooperation and Harare; Capital of Zimbabwe, and placed Ex-President Robert Mugabe under house arrest. On 19th November, the ZANU-PF announced of Mr. Mugabe’s removal with subsequent amendments which made the second Vice President; Phelekezela Mphoko becoming the acting President with President Mnangagwa assuming office from 24th November, 2017. President Mnangagwa became a Democratic President after the 30th July 2018 General Elections where he won the Elections with 51.44 percent of the total votes cast.

President Mnangagwa this time has his main opposition as Lawyer Nelson Chamisa who is also a Pastor and head of Citizens Coalition for Change, a new Political Party which was formed in 2022.
