This state also has an increasing number of blacks who have left their native countries coming to settle in the state. Congrats to Safiya Khalid. Safiya Khalid was a refugee who once lived in a refugee camp before coming to settle in the United States of America. Safiya Khalid beat a Democrat to win the chair in the City Council Elections. She has now won a seat in the Lewiston City Council. Cheers to Africa.
