The Kikuyus represents the largest ethnic group in Kenya. The Kikuyus; one of the Bantu speaking groups, are also found in Tanzania but mostly concentrated in Central Kenya. They take almost 18 percent in the total fraction of ethnic groups in Kenya.

Most of the Kikuyus speak the Gīkūyū language whiles others also speak English and Swahili. They are either Christians, Muslims ar part of the Agikuyu Religion. Kikiyu comes from the word Gīkūyū, which simply means Children of the Big Sycamore. Most of the Kikuyus are situated around Mount Kenya in Kenya.

The Kikuyus are known to be Relentless people back from history ,as they fought against the invasion of colonialists in their lands and also prevented slave trade from occuring between them and the Arabs. A lot of prominent people have come out from the Kikuyus like Ngina Kenyatta; former first lady of Kenya, Wanuri Kahiu; a promiment film director, Samuel Wanjiru; first Kenyan to win the Olympic gold medal in the marathon amongst others who are all involved in the development of the Kenyan and Global Anatomy.
